The staff of the VRT then protests (check their event ‘We laten de VRT niet los’) and we connect with the broad midfield and the cultural sector. The VRT staff is moving from VRT to the Martelaarsplein. Midfield and the cultural sector will already ‘heat up’ the square for them from 3 pm. SUMMARY:Hear My Voice: mega choir at Flemish Parliament
DESCRIPTION:Thursday Dec. 19\, 7PM (time to be confirmed)\, the Flemish Parliament will debate and vote on the scheduled budget-cuts on culture\, arts\, care and education in a plenary session. ‘Hear My Voice’ is a composition for mega-choir\, which will provide a massive yet sober live soundscape in front of the parliament building. 1000 singers – or many more – will meet to do what everyone can do and what has been practiced in many cultures throughout history: singing together. No tweets\, no shouting\, no protest banners\, just singing together to make our voice eventually heard. \nIf you want to join\, please fill out the form and download your scores ! \nTo join\, click here. \nScores are available for various types of choirs and at different difficulty levels. Download the scores here. \nYou can listen here to a rough edit of a recording of the City of EAR project (650 singers)\, of which Hear My Voice is an adapted version.
