Hear My Voice: mega choir at Flemish Parliament

Thursday Dec. 19, 7PM (time to be confirmed), the Flemish Parliament will debate and vote on the scheduled budget-cuts on culture, arts, care and education in a plenary session. ‘Hear My Voice’ is a composition for mega-choir, which will provide a massive yet sober live soundscape in front of the parliament building. 1000 singers – or many more – will meet to do what everyone can do and what has been practiced in many cultures throughout history: singing together. No tweets, no shouting, no protest banners, just singing together to make our voice eventually heard.

You can listen here to a rough edit of a recording of the City of EAR project (650 singers), of which Hear My Voice is an adapted version. It gives a realistic idea of what to expect, although the music is slightly different.
