A Sustainable Dialogue* #1: ON REDISTRIBUTION
Public gathering to activate the Fair Kin Arts Almanac
organised by State of the Arts and LaFAP in collaboration with NICC.
When: Sunday 01/10 /2023
Time: 15h30 – 18h
Where: Music Kiosk Albertpark, Antwerp
Can we earn a living in the art world? How can we learn from each other how to share better? Why is artistic work so often undervalued? Is money crucial or is it the problem?
We kick off the series of four Almanac activation events with a heads-on confrontation with MONEY. A variety of contributions from different chapters of the Fair Kin Arts Almanac deal with this complex theme. We unpack it through presentations, conversations, a tryout performative workshop of the Asymmetric Pay tool. There will be time for questions and discussions, as well as for drinks.
This gathering is part of MONEY, an afternoon programme by Radio Memorandum on the last day of the nomadic exhibition project Publiek Park.
Radio Memorandum is a joint initiative of the visual arts sector in Antwerp. MONEY is a multilayered event where the delicate topic is approached from different perspectives: artistic and business-minded, political and societal.
