With the Flemish Culture Pact as its motivation, the Flemish government took the decision to delegate Vlaams Belang politician Filip Brusselmans to the KVS Board of Directors.
The KVS has been promoting values such as plurality, inclusiveness and interculturalism for years. Filip Brusselmans publicly takes positions that are diametrically opposed to these.
We seriously question the motivations behind putting someone with that profile at the heart of the KVS and call for a debate on the interpretation of the current culture pact and the political appointments to the boards of our cultural houses.
